Vintage Cars and Bikes go under the hammer at RM Auctions

The name RM Auctions is synonymous with the rarest luxury cars and bikes. Their 30 year history of bringing the best vintage automobiles to their perceptive and elite patrons has helped to cement their reputation as a leading automobile auction house.

The latest auction from the RM house held on the 23rd of June at Syon Park in West London at the concours d’elegance and the Salon Privé luxury car show and auction included a stunning display of rare vintage luxury automobiles and motor bikes from Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Bentley and Jaguar to name a few among these rare vintage beauties.

The 1926 Rolls Royce Experimental Phantom 1 Continental 10 EX, one of the first from the Rolls Royce stable to be fixed with a sports body ‘torpedo’ and the only test car among three other successive models to be kept by Rolls Royce for almost 6 years merits special mention here. This car has been put on the auction block along with six other cars from Rolls Royce.

A 1939 Aston Martin 2 liter Speed Model and the 1961 DB4 Vantage Aston Martin owned originally by Peter Ustinov were also put up for sale along with the top buy of the evening – the 1929 Bentley Speed Six ‘Le Mans’ tourer.

Among the later models was the 1966 Jaguar E – type series which was one among the fifty seven cars that were put up on display on the green lawns of the Middlesex home of the Duke of Northumberland.

Among the motorbikes which were on display the 1939 Alfa Romeo 6c 2500 S Berlinetta and the 1934 Dymaxion three wheeler seen biggest viewer and patron interest.

The auction and display of such a stunning collection of classy vintage cars and bikes was an expected feature from the premium auction and collection house.
