Built in 1896 and opened as the Palm Beach Inn this illustrious hotel has enjoyed a legendary guest list, including the Vanderbilts, Rockefellers, Andrew Carnegie, Astors and JP Morgan. It’s an iconic building, built by oil magnate Henry Flagler. The original building burnt down in 1925 but it was quickly rebuilt and restored to its former glory. Its new construction was modelled on the Villa Medici in Rome and it is a recognisable landmark associated with Palm Beach.
This grand hotel which boasts 540 rooms and suites and 10 restaurants allows you to enjoy the best of the beach in glorious style. Furnishings are luxurious, light and airy and adults can get as much relaxation as they need- there’s a kids’ club too, with daily activities to keep the little ones busy.

For the more adventurous at heart there’s the mandatory swimming, snorkelling and swimming you’d expect at the beach. The area is also alive with birdlife and there’s plenty to see on that front too. There are also two gorgeous golf courses just waiting to be explored.
Palm Beach was founded by Henry Morrison Flagler, the founder of Standard Oil. He built two legendary luxury resorts, the Royal Poinciana Hotel and the Breakers Hotel.
One of the features of this trendy, palm-beached part of the world is the Four Arts Gardens, botanical gardens that were established in 1938 and which now showcase plants indigenous to the unique climate of South Florida. It also features a number of modern sculptures.
Florida lies in the south eastern United States of America, along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, a popular spot for local and international tourists wanting to soak up some sunshine. It’s a trendy and fashionable place to see- or be seen- and is known to have inspired the writing of Tennessee Williams and Ernest Hemingway.
