Sky+HD Awarded Best Emerging British Luxury Brand
Sky+HD boasts four times more luxurious viewing detail than any other HD set available. It allows its users with access to all Sky TV’s HD channels, including Sky Movies HD, National Geographic HD, Eurosport HD, and has up to 80 hours of recordable space – 30 hours in HD. It has live pause and record, as well as Sky Anytime on TV.
At £99, Sky+HD is one of the most expensive HD sets available (since regular digital TV sets come free with other plans).
Sky+HD won the 2008 Walpole Award for Best Emerging British Luxury Brand. The criteria for nomination was to be an “aspiring British company, established within the last 10 years, that has demonstrated the potential and ability in 2008 to develop into an established British Luxury brand.”
Other winners of the Walpole Awards this year included Dunhill, Laurent-Perrier Champagne, Taylor Wessing, Bermont watches and Jaguar’s Design Director Ian Callum.
