Japan has seen a whole lot of devastation last month, massive earthquakes, giant tsunami’s leaving a colossal loss and damage to life and property. Their lives are also being threatened by possible nuclear Chernobyl which is the worst right after the Hiroshima, Nagasaki attacks.

As the people of the country struggle to get their lives together, without loved ones, without property, and without a job, the future looks pretty bleak. Their economy is grappling under huge losses and although it will take a while for it to outgrow their losses, there seems to be a glimmer of hope.
There is one thing that the Japanese economy can benefit from currently and that is tourism. This will sure give its economy the much needed boost, along with employment and stability. Tourism lovers are sure to love this new addition to the Japanese skyline. It’s the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co who are planning to open their third venture bang in Japan’s beautiful, elegant and ancient capital, Kyoto.

This new hotel will be under the Ritz banner, where they will undertake the rebuilding of the Hotel Fujita Kyoto. The projected is projected for completion by the year 2014, although which is a long time is good enough for the country as a whole.
The reconstructed project will feature less than 140 guest rooms, which is what most luxury restaurants refer to as minimal. But the restaurant makes up this tiny loss by adding in a spa and restaurant that introduces a blend of Western luxury hotels and traditional Japanese styles. The property is in the upper class area of Gion very close to the Kamo river. A night’s stay at this restaurant will cost you nothing less than $ 600 per night, which is a decent amount we think.
