"An unidentified woman in front of the Harry Winston jewelry store in Paris on Friday."

With over 1,000 news stories from my Googled search results alone, I am sure you are not surprised that we at LushBling feel the need to cover this story as well.

It’s a wonder the Harry Winston website doesn’t have a huge ‘In Mourning’ banner across it. The total loss of items has been estimated at $102 million. That’s enough to buy at least 5 Rancho Mirages.

“The police said that at least four people were involved in the robbery of Harry Winston, which is on a street of deluxe shops near the Champs Élysées that is crowded with boutiques for Chanel, Dior and Gucci. Around closing time at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, the thieves entered and confronted 15 employees. At least two of the robbers were dressed in wigs and women’s clothes, while a fourth accomplice apparently waited outside as the getaway driver.”

The crazy thing is – I’ll bet, anyway – some Hollywood studio is probably already bidding for the rights to this script. (Ooh, did I just imply a lush investment? *…sshhhh*)
