LushWheels: Bolwell Nagari – Almost Green
Everybody’s going green these days, and really, there is nothing wrong with that. The Bolwell Nagari is rumoured to be releasing an electric engine version soon. This would indeed be the excuse we could use to convince ourselves just how vital it is to purchase an environmentally friendly car, and at the same time, it just as equally needs to be a sports car.
Right now the Bolwell Nagari uses a carbon-intensive composite chassis and body and weighs a little over one ton. It’s got a 295 horsepower Toyota-made 3.5 liter V6 engine, and has paddle-shifted transmission. The transmission sits in the middle of the car and powers the rear wheels.
The Bolwell Nagari is an Australian sportscar that was first produced in 1969. ‘Nagari’ is an Aboriginal word meaning ‘flowing.’
Bolwell was started by three brothers: Campbell, Winston and Graeme Bolwell, who were “like most young red blooded Aussie males who loved cars, mostly fast cars.”

I wish one of the shots was of the inside of the car. It’s beautiful from the outside though.
