A world-class 18-hole golf course is expected to be completed for play in 2011. Designed by Tom Fazio, who also designed River Course and Osprey Point in Kiawah Island, Christophe Harbour is expected to be “amongst the finest in the world.”
The golf course will be just one of the many luxurious activities available to guests in St Kitts and Nevis, as part of a new luxury development that will see the building of large mega-yacht harbours, exclusive spa retreats, luxury hotels, boutiques, shops, restaurants and hillside properties.
The location of the golf course itself has been designated to an area atop a volcanic ridge, along a natural inland cove. It will be cover 250 acres and total 7,250 yards.
“The striking landscape here allows us to take full advantage of both the mountain ridges and lower cliffsides. Golfers will enjoy the incredible panoramic views across the ocean and the Caribbean Sea, and over the harbour and to Basseterre and Nevis. The drama of the landscape variation and the views will make this course different from any other in the Caribbean” said Fazio.
