Living life the stylish way

Posted in Sartorial Style on August 19, 2010

The champagnes and the limousines, the red carpet and the black tie affairs being catered from different states, the endless piles of money and designer atmosphere. These are just some of the things that many of the elite class of Beverly Hills get to experience everyday.

All of that sounds amazing doesn’t it, however as the old saying goes, ‘money cannot buy happiness’ But I dare differ saying who needs happiness when money itself is the happiness for you can get almost anything that you want! If you have enough money to buy anything you want then congratulations you are now one of those few who can jet themselves off to Milan for the fashion weekend and then off to Paris for lunch followed by dinner in Britain with the queen herself!

But apart from exaggerations, one thing is definitely true – when you live high it doesn’t only refer to the suite you book in one of the Hilton Hotel’s when on holiday it also means changing your wardrobe every season. When you live high, you’ve got to wear it high and that’s why you can never have the same wardrobe for more than one season, and what better way to gain fashion tips than to be seated front and center on one of Dolce & Gabbana’s catwalk shows!

For this year’s Autumn/Winter 2010-11 D&G played with Dark colors such as dark green velvet, maroon velvet, black silk, gold and of course an alluring mix of whites, cream and beige. Their clothes leaned towards the sophisticated, chic look with just a hint of a dangerous edge. Polka dots, leopard prints and bold reds were subtly played with and introduced in the middle of the show. The look this winter leans however, mostly towards the business side, with sheer elegance and ease D&G have managed to enhance the inner business woman. Although the color palette was a bit towards the melancholic boring side, the sophistication of the clothes was enhanced by the eternal red lipstick that is once again in this autumn/winter. Raspberry red with a glossy or matt finish lined a till your inner smile for a more Batman’s Joker-ish look; accompany this with eyes blackened with a liquid liner or black kohl pencil.

This winter it’s all about going all natural and that’s why mascara’s out and dark eyebrows are in. This time the fashion’s gone back towards the 60’s. D&G have reinvented their prized dresses into sexy works of lace and lingerie combining them with the sophistication of the suede coats and see through polka dotted flow-y skirts. Its all about the elegant and natural sophistication so go ahead and change your wardrobe today, and be sure the check out the amazing collection from D&G this winter/autumn!
