With only 15 editions being created in the world, each one to be sold at $5,000, Gresso is certainly hoping for the best from these credit crunching times.
Apparently inspired by Swiss skeleton watches, the Gresso Avantgarde Skeleton phone has a display back, through which you can see the ‘skeleton’ of the phone. Plus that little window is made of 42 carats of hand-polished sapphire crystal.
The rest of the phone case is made of titanium alloy, is hypo-allergenic and resistant to temperature extremities, as well as corrosion. Gresso claims it is also scratch-proof through its “high-tech ceramic coverage.” Also apparently the same material that spaceships are made of. “Ceramics’ solidity is second to that of diamond only.”
As a piece of technology, however, it only has 2GB of memory and a 2 megapixel camera. Possibly it’s designed for the lush old school business execs who “Just want to call and receive calls,” and have their assistants worry about such frivolities as emails or text messages.
