The Royal wedding was truly fairy-tale like, and was just as we all expected. There was nothing too flamboyant like a tremendously long wedding dress trail. On the contrary, one look at the celebration, and you knew it was fit for the future king and queen.

Everything about the wedding ceremony was a neat combination of old world Royal charm and new style. However most of us would have liked it to follow the current fashion trends, a little quirky, little princess like and a dash of elegance. Probably they also had to please Prince William’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth. Whatever the reasons, although the dress was rather practical, it looked like a million bucks!

Kate Middleton’s dress was every fashionistas prime focus. The wedding gown was certainly beautiful which was ivory and made from satin gazar. The lace was perfect, delicate and extremely beautiful; made from flowers cut individually and embellished on French Chantilly lace. The veil was splendid, simple, stunning and fit the princess perfectly well. This was made from silk tulle again in soft ivory and it even had trimmings of hand embroidered flowers.

The entire dress itself was for around £250,000, designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, this dress is sure to change wedding dress trends. We’ve seen enough of off shoulders, shoulderless and strappy wedding gowns. This lace full sleeved wedding gown worn by Kate Middleton was totally different. A lot of the gown’s inspiration, it seemed like, came from Princess Grace’s wedding gown.

The British Royal family has this tradition of passing down or using a piece of heirloom in their weddings. It’s almost like a tradition, and to keep up with this, there as the 1935 Cartier Halo Diamond Tiara. This tiara is part of the Queen’s priceless jewel collection. Among her accessories was the leaf shaped diamond earrings by Robinson Pelham that carried a tag of £9,000 and gifted by her parents.
