A homely atmosphere at Hotel du Vin

Hotel du Vin offers character and charisma in the vibrant and energetic city of Brighton. The hotel is close to the Brighton beachfront and has been built on the site of an old inn. It’s also around the corner from a Jamie Oliver restaurant.

It’s also a food lover’s delight itself and offers a number of drinking holes from which to sample its fine liquors and wines. Fine wines are on display in Laroche Tasting Room while a stay isn’t complete without a sojourn at the Dome Room or Pub du Vin.

49 suites beckon you to enjoy them and the decor is both stylish and comfortable. The building employs Gothic and Tudor style architecture and the suites feature hand sprung mattresses draped in Egyptian linen. There are also sunken baths, plasma TVs and air conditioning.

Bold and comfortable

Brighton is located between South Downs and South Coast. It is well known for its nightlife and festivals, as well as for arts and culture. It’s the ideal environment for outdoor dining and the city has an energy that you can only experience at the coast. The hotel is 30 minutes away from Shoreham Airport.

Brighton started out as a health holiday resort that offered sunbathing in the 18th century, a precious commodity in Britain. It then became popular as a holiday destination after the completion of the railway in 1841. It has a medical school and two universities. Some of the highlights worth visiting include the Royal Pavilion, Sassoon Mausoleum, Brighton Marine Palace and Pier, West Pier. It is best known for its beaches and holiday atmosphere and the art that local artists produce.

Brighton is also home to Volk’s Electric Railway which has been operational since 1883. It is currently the world’s oldest electric railway that is still in good working order.
