New Limited Edition Bespoke Ties by Vittorio J

Vittorio J

New York’s fine tie designer Vittorio J has created an exclusive, limited 15-edition per tie, hand made luxury tie collection for the Michael Andrews Bespoke store on the Lower East Side.

Each tie is uniquely printed on 100% English silk, said to be from the same fabric houses of such high-end labels as Kiton and E. Marinella. The pricing certainly fits such rumours, as the ties range from $195 to $2000 each.

There are playful colors of bright purple, yellow, pinks and greens. The patterns are fun and quirky, with skulls, flowers or simple circular shapes.

Vittorio J believes that their clientele are “individuals with impeccable taste,” and thus they design ties which are original, innovative, bold and classy.

The popularity of skull patterns on luxury items now is rather interesting. As previously a symbol of only the mean street punk kids; possibly such kids grew up and started their own entrepenuerial endeavours and now are reaping the rewards of their rebellion.

eazo

For a PC that will cost you anywhere between $10,000 and upwards, the Chinese luxury computer company Eazo is certainly being daring in their introductions of exclusive technology.

The selling point is not only in the aesthetic superiority, yet the computing power itself is up to standard as well. The latest new product, Z70 has luxurious wood paneling, and unique water cooling system to keep the wood from burning.

Eazo offers many custom-made orders depending on your tastes, and has previously has fully Swarovski crystal covered models, as well as other sleek designs.

The company logo that is supposed to represent traditional Chinese decorative styles is minimalist and also resembles other luxury brands such as Givenchy.

Eazo states that they are “combining Eastern philosophy and Western technology into personal computing perfection.”

It’s like they’re now officially catering to all three most major luxury demographis: the ones that love bling, the ones that love sleek, and the ones that love something resembling a sense of eco-luxury.

Rubyy: Energy Drinks have gone Luxury

Here’s something to impress your guests with at your New Years Eve party. A new energy drink in a matte black aluminum bottle with a beautiful swirl decoration that obviously connotes something upscale.

The drink itself is lightly carbonated with plenty of citrus flavours. Blood oranges, tangerine and Valencia oranges. There is also plenty of B vitamins to ensure energy boostage. For New Years Eve fun, of course, you can mix it with alcohol.

Rubyy will be providing plenty of recipes on its web site involving vodka, rum and other spirits to make some very tasteful cocktails.

The other unique aesthetic of this energy drink is of course the fact that it glows in the dark. Even more fun for partying. It’s a two-in-one drink and glowstick.

The definite advantage over Red Bull and other energy drinks is that it’s not a ghastly color. It’s a very pretty pinkish orange that somewhat resembles a more natural option.

Paris Hilton’s Barbie Pink Bentley

Now when she wakes up in the morning, she’ll have to use those brain cells to decide, “What shall I wear today that will go with my barbie-pink car?” And not just any regular barbie-pink car. A BENTLEY. Turned Barbie-pink.

The world has gone mad, yes. And it seems that pink-ing of previously ‘The Man’ only vehicles is a new trend that’s not about to stop. Where is The Man these days? In their year of silence, women have continued on, helping the economic crisis with their never-ending pursuit of consumerism and an unexplainable addiction to jewels and the color pink.

And what am I talking about? I’M a woman. And yes I do find this vehicle highly appealing. Yet I resent Paris Hilton for this Bentley association because I feel that part of the purchase of a luxury vehicle is the satisfaction that you actually worked hard to be able to afford it. (Okay, I am totally jealous).

Nokia’s New Luxury 8800 Artes: ‘Gold Arte’ and ‘Princess’ Editions

Nokia’s Gold Arte has 18-carats of solid gold for its ‘skin’. (I’m not sure if there is anything else I’ll need to say.) The regular Arte has a 2 inch QVGA 16M color OLED display. For the photography addicts, the camera is 3.2 megapixels. And true to Nokia form, there is plenty of memory in even such a beautiful little package – 4 GB in total.

The Princess Edition Nokia 8800 Arte features 8.2 carat diamonds on its front and rear. There is platinum and leather finish to top off the extravagance. The combination of diamond, leather and platinum also does give off a more fun-loving yet luxurious vibe.

The Princess Edition costs £12,000 and is to be launched in Colette in Paris next month.

The Gold Arte remains unpriced. For the sartorialists not so into diamonds, leather, gold or platinum, Nokia released a Carbon Arte earlier in the year as well.

‘Statements in Time’ Luxury Watch Collection by Ulli Kampelmann

2008-ullikampelmann

Ulli Kampelmann is a prestigious glass sculptress and artist from Europe who now lives in the US and has just launched a new collection of luxury watches.

One piece in particular, the ‘Pocket-Watch’ has already received a raving review from Joe Urich, a former publisher and editor of an international magazine for luxury watch buyers:

“I love this watch and I can hear young ladies saying ‘Blue Jeans and Ulli, that’s all the time I need.’”

The watch has 100 diamonds and Ulli’s trademarked signature. The intention, according to Urich, is for the wearer to show it off “at the best-of-the-best restaurants and night clubs in New York or while shopping on Rodeo Drive.”

As a designer Ulli is different – and intentionally in the best sense. She considers herself an artist more than a designer, and thus approaches the design process “with the eye of a sculptress.”
