The largest Christmas market in Scandinavia, Gothenburg Christmas Market runs between November 15 to December 23. The area used is the Liseberg Amusement Park, which is then transformed into a winter wonderland of beautifully decorated trees, five million lights and spectacular garlands.
Far from the clichéd local farmers market, the area also provides traditional rides, ice-skating and Santa Land. In total the whole market is decorated with 700 Christmas trees and sees half a million visitors each year.
Stalls will be selling crafts, knitwear, waffles, candied apples, and spiced wine amongst other delights.
Not that the items are luxe or exclusive, however, if you’re a jetsetter wondering where would be a luxuriously different place to say, the usual New York or Los Angeles experience, then heading to Sweden would be well worth the fuel in your jet.
Scandinavian delicacies will also be available, including pickled herring, salmon, spiced red cabbage, pâtés, spare ribs, sausages, meatballs, ham and, of course, beers and wine.

Thailand remains on top of our dream exotic destinations, most particularly, Phuket, the pearl of the south. While the island is famous for its white sand beaches, it also offers attractions like an 18-hole mini-golf course called Dino Park, an aquarium that displays hundreds of colorful fishes found around the island and Fantasea, a nighttime theme park. These improvements have made the island ideal not just for honeymooning but for family and group vacations as well.
If you’re vacationing with family and friends, we suggest you seek an alternative to the usual hotel accommodations. Phuket is home to hundreds of villas that give you privacy and freedom to move around. Living and sleeping areas are quite spacious and most come with their own pool and garden. These properties are safe for young children and are usually within gated compounds that have their own 24-hour security.
We fell in love with these luxurious villas from MyAsianVilla and we’re sure you’d feel the same way, too.
Benyasiri has 5 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 10 people. It has a wrap-around deck with breathtaking views of the sea and a 14-meter salt chlorinated infinity pool.

Hale Malia’s interiors combine Asian furnishings with modern luxuries like indoor sauna and steam rooms.
Samsara Villa 2 has an infinity edge pool and 3 outdoor jacuzzis. The 6-bedroom villa can accommodate up to 14 people.
Villa Analaya is the ultimate luxury vacation home with its well-appointed bedrooms, European kitchen, 140 sq.m. swimming pool, gym and private garden within its 5000 sq.m grounds.
Did we mention that all these villas have a full-time staff (one cook and one housekeeper) who attend to all your needs? Now that’s a vacation.
California really is the best place to unveil a new convertible. With the sun all year round and long stretches of road to drive through, it’s no wonder that Lamborghini joined the likes of Porsche in their decisions to unveil their all-new convertibles of 2010 at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show.
“In its new generation, the Gallardo Spyder represents more than ever before automotive passion in its purest form. As in the Coupé, its enormous power is delivered by the new 5.2 litre V10 with an output of 560 hp (412 kW) at 8,000 rpm. The increase in 40 hp (29 kW) over its predecessor, as well as the 44 pound (20 kilogram) reduction in vehicle weight, improves the power-to-weight ratio to 6.10 pounds (2.77 kg) per hp, thus improving performance even further.
The LP 560-4 Spyder takes only 4.0 seconds to sprint from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h), reaching 124 mph (0 to 200 km/h) in only 13.1 seconds and going on to a top speed of 201 mph (324 km/h). The new driveline, featuring the “Iniezione Diretta Stratificata” direct fuel injection system also makes for impressive efficiency. Despite the considerable increase in performance, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced by a staggering 18 percent.”
