Asia seems to be stirring on the property front. After Antilia notching up as the most expensive house in the world, another Asian country seems to have made its mark. Although nowhere close to Antillia, this house is the most expensive in its country. Even though this luxury penthouse spans only 1,000 sq m, its price has been quoted in millions!

Diaoyutai Courtyard

At Rmb300 million which is approximately 6.2 million dollars, this luxury penthouse is all what you ever dreamt of. The reason for this home to earn such mammoth prices is because it’s not just situated in a historic locale but its bang next to the Diaoyutai State Guest House.

This place is known as the official place in western Beijing popular because this is where Madame Mao and the ultra-leftist members had their headquarters established during the Cultural Revolution back in the years 1966-1976.

We are not too sure if prices should have been exorbitant just because of its location; at least locals think that it is unreasonably overpriced. But what no one really knows is that the subtle details in the home are what make it so precious. Of course the house has impeccable furnishings, its humongous layout and even a car park apart from the luxuries that a modern home demands. So basically, it’s a good buy, again only if you have the money to buy it!

What really is surprising is that all this while until now and even today, the Chinese Government has only been promoting austerity and living an austere life.  But with this ridiculously priced property, it doesn’t seem like the seller believes in it. Probably the property market in this part of the world is devoid of any government austerity plans.
