The late Severin Wunderman was the mastermind behind the Gucci Watch Franchise, and had been a legend in the watch world for all his luxurious designs. A tour through his estate will give you an intimate idea of just what a fabulous eye for colors, detail and design the man had.
Aside from Gucci watches, Wunderman bought the Swiss watch brand, Corum. You can see where the passion for skull imagery in Corum watches may have come from, when you have a look at Wunderman’s skull-filled library.
The home is furnished with decadence and exquisite materials, with a lot of animal prints, antiques and precious fine art paintings. There is so much detail in every piece of furniture, from the fine-carved fireplaces to the many exquisitely hung chandeliers.
The London estate is now listed at £10.5million (down from original asking price of £15.5 million). There are 8 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, plus 9 reception rooms.
Wunderman passed away at the age of 69 this past summer.

TAG Heuer products will soon be made available for online purchasing. CEO Jean-Christophe Babin explained that this allows TAG Heuer to reach global customers without distributing the products in more “mass channels” of other franchised jewelry stores.
Babin also explained that the company was exploring more technologically designed items which may be available exclusively through the Internet.
The success of their techno-accessories collections for men may be one of the motivations for the online retail expansion. The accessories have been made with “advanced technology from the TAG Heuer stables” and given the usually smaller sizes of such products, shipping costs should not be a problem. (Nor should they have been in the first place for a genuine ‘luxury consumer.’)
TAG Heuer has a history of 150 years in the watchmaking business, and recently also opened “the first avant-garde 360 degree watchmaking museum” – also available as a virtual museum on their web site.
With over 1,000 news stories from my Googled search results alone, I am sure you are not surprised that we at LushBling feel the need to cover this story as well.
It’s a wonder the Harry Winston website doesn’t have a huge ‘In Mourning’ banner across it. The total loss of items has been estimated at $102 million. That’s enough to buy at least 5 Rancho Mirages.
“The police said that at least four people were involved in the robbery of Harry Winston, which is on a street of deluxe shops near the Champs Élysées that is crowded with boutiques for Chanel, Dior and Gucci. Around closing time at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, the thieves entered and confronted 15 employees. At least two of the robbers were dressed in wigs and women’s clothes, while a fourth accomplice apparently waited outside as the getaway driver.”
The crazy thing is – I’ll bet, anyway – some Hollywood studio is probably already bidding for the rights to this script. (Ooh, did I just imply a lush investment? *…sshhhh*)

To celebrate its 100th anniversary, Rolex has come out with a limited edition update on their classic Oyster Perpetual Day Date, the Oyster Perpetual Day Date II. Upgrades include larger face of 41 mm (previous 38 mm), and choices of white gold, everose gold, platinum or yellow gold.
The watch comes with super-president crown clasp, and polished bezel. The white gold model comes with eight diamonds and two baguettes. The reigning monarch of all the Oyster Perpetuals to date. All gold models contain 18-carat of their elements.
With current economic volatility, Rolex has reported steady sales due to people’s belief now that such classic timepieces are a worthy investment, as it lasts and doesn’t go out of style.
Rolex is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland and has its 100-year history and reputation of prestige. Rolex watch prices had even been bumped up 12.5% since October 1, 2008, yet nobody seems to have complained.
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day Date II starts at $20,000 USD.
