The XL Santos Galbee W20099C4 watch from Cartier is a fashionable luxury watch. It is especially notable for its brilliant golden finish. This finish is one that is made with pure gold materials.
The XL Santos watch is one that is made with men in mind. It is a bracelet watch that works with an automatic hand movement system and features a good band strength that allows it to stretch out when needed, thus ensuring that a good fit can be had by more men who want to use this watch.
The main thing that this watch is so famous for is its gold materials. The watch uses an 18k gold material around many parts of the watch. The most notable area comes on the dial of the watch. The entire outside border of the watch works with an 18k gold outline that makes the watch look especially unique.
The wristband on the watch features the same gold as well. Each segment on the wristband features two deposits of 18k gold. This makes the entire body of the watch look fashionable and beautiful.
The gold is accented beautifully alongside a silver body. The silver case is consistent around the entire build of the watch. The Roman dial on the watch is also made with some silver materials.
A square design is used for the dial. This design features Roman numerals and a standard series of black arms for the watch. A calendar marker can be found on the bottom right corner of the watch between the 4 and 5 numbers. This is a convenient accent.
This watch costs about seven thousand dollars through most retailers. This is a value that is very similar to what people charge for watches like this in most places. This is a value that relates to the 18k gold that is built around the watch.
It is great to see how impressive this luxury watch is. The Cartier XL Santos Galbee W20099C4 is a watch that has a great design attached to it and features a beautiful pattern of gold and silver. The pattern works very well and features the two elements mingling very well with one another for one of the most memorable appearances that anyone will see in a luxury watch.

Wow, it definately is pretty impressive. The thing is that I can’t imagine who’d like that design. The hands have nothing to do with the rest of the watch and the mixture of silver and gold is not too successful, I’m afraid. Besides that, the numbers look totally crammed onto the face of the watch and as a whole, it just seems that the designer’s idea was too big for the space he had to work with. Not to mention that it looks cheap for Cartier. I would’ve expected more from them, they have some really astonishing designs.
I must say I agree with Kjetil. Usually I’m a fan of Cartier designs but this one failed to impress me.
I’ve seen far better watches – some of them can be found on the very same page of the blog.
It’s not that bad, really. I agree that mixing silver and gold doesn’t always lead to the desired outcome and I also agree that the numbers are way too large but I think the brand name saves it for this particular watch. Cartier can afford to have an experiment like that every now and then.
To sum it up, it’s not that bad and I’m sure it’s a fantastic watch but I wouldn’t spend that much money on it.
