Andalus Concept Home by GAD. Luxury Development
By using mathematical strategies, GAD designers are developing techniques which allow domestic spaces to be transformed into surreal and super-morphic environments. Currently the designs are still in the schematic design phase, however the recently released images are certainly worthy of admiration.
The computer program ‘Mathematica,’ developed by mathematician Stephen Wolfram is the enabler for these currently digital creations. Needless to say, we are only just starting to get a sneak peak into the homes of the future through these images.
The project, titled ‘Andalus,’ involves a process which “calls for active indeterminate modules that organically emerge, morph and propagate while aligned with a set of programmatic parameters to negotiate formal and spatial results.”
The experiments explore the potential of scaling and “new urban conditions and infrastructures.”
GAD is an award-winning New York and Istanbul based architecture design company.
“GAD understands architecture as a practice that relies on the experiment, values historical precedents and new ways to combine both in a mutually benefiting fashion. GAD Architecture is committed to finding innovative approaches to architecture and creating new spatial experiences with projects and ideas.”
